A good creamer can turn almost anyone into a coffee lover. I’ll admit, my foray into caffeine included plenty of frappuccinos and dessert lattes. Fast-forward years later and you’ll see a lot less sugar in my mug — my palate has evolved to actually enjoy black coffee. Now, I usually take my coffee with a splash of milk or cream and no sugar. Occasionally, I’ll go for a fun-flavored creamer.
One thing I’ll never compromise on is actual dairy, especially in my coffee creamer. I’ve tried most of the creamers lining the fridge aisle, and I always read the ingredient lists before I do. Once you do, you’ll find that many popular creamers list other ingredients first (and second, and third …), which means there isn’t much cream in them at all.
These are three of the best coffee creamers I continue turning to most mornings. Every pick below is made with milk and cream and not much else.

1. Chobani Cookie Butter Coffee Creamer
Chobani makes a dairy creamer for practically every latte you’d ever pine for. I’ve tried about five: Sweet Cream, Cookie Dough, and Caramel Macchiato, plus seasonal flavors S’mores and Cookie Butter. Made with cream and milk and sweetened with sugar, each one is almost tastier than the last. They are on the sweeter side, but they taste just like their namesakes.
I grew up eating Biscoff’s Lotus cookies, so the limited-edition Cookie Butter is one of my favs. The Sweet Cream is more of a mainstay in my fridge thanks to its rich creaminess and subtle flavor that complements the coffee. Sometimes, I use just 1 tablespoon of creamer (which is the actual serving size) and add a bit of half-and-half to cut the sweetness and keep the flavor.

2. Organic Valley French Vanilla Creamer
I’m a big fan of Organic Valley’s dairy products, especially the French vanilla creamer. It contains all organic ingredients, including milk and cream from pasture-raised cows, plus organic cane sugar. It’s not as sweet as Chobani’s creamers and adds a touch of vanilla flavor without the syrupiness that can distract from the actual coffee. If you’re not into French vanilla, the sweet cream flavor is also top-notch.

3. Coffee Mate Natural Bliss Sweet Cream Creamer
Coffee Mate’s Natural Bliss line of creamers is made with just four ingredients: skim milk, cream, sugar, and natural flavor. They’re velvety and sweet enough to cut through coffee’s acidity. The Sweet Cream is perfect for folks like me who want a smooth, creamy complement to their coffee. It’s not syrupy at all, and the subtle sweetness balances out coffee’s natural bitterness without masking the flavor.
You can even use a splash of flavored creamers like Pistachio or Cinnamon Coffee Cake in French toast or pancake batter for extra richness.
