Coffee is like a blank canvas. Whether it’s a warm cup of drip in the morning or an iced espresso drink in the late afternoon, there are a million and one ways to spice up a cup of joe (one of my favorite ways is with a dash of salt). I wake up every morning excited for my little morning drink, and lately, that’s been because of coffee creamers.

Creamers add flavor, sweetness, and a smooth, rich texture to our favorite caffeinated drink. Seasonal flavors help add a little more whimsy into every cup of coffee, and each season, brands release a ton of them. I tried 10 different coffee creamers — these are the five I’ll be using on repeat this fall.

1. Forager Project Cinnamon & Vanilla Creamer

My ideal coffee creamer is subtle but rich, with a flavor that complements my coffee without drowning it in sweetness. Forager Project Cinnamon & Vanilla Creamer fits that bill perfectly. It’s got a subtle vanilla sweetness and a bit of warmth from cinnamon that makes my coffee taste so cozy. It’s plant-based and is made with a mixture of cashew, oat, and coconut milk yet is somehow still so creamy. I had a cup with it this morning, and am looking forward to tomorrow morning so I can have a bit more.

2. Chobani Cookie Butter Creamer

Chobani’s creamers are wildly popular, and for good reason. This season, they have a limited-edition Cookie Butter Creamer, and it is incredible. While cookie butter may not be seen as a traditional autumnal flavor, the Biscoff-inspired creamer uses real cream and has notes of cinnamon, rich vanilla, and nostalgic spices like ginger, nutmeg, and allspice that make it taste like a warm, spiced hug.

3. Organic Valley Oatmilk Oatmeal Cookie Creamer

What’s more fall than an oatmeal cookie?! The Organic Valley Oatmeal Cookie Creamer is sugary (in the least overwhelming way), nutty, and totally toasty. It only takes a little splash of this creamer to liven up a dull cup of coffee, so it’ll last quite a while. It’s also made with oatmilk so it’s plant-based and dairy free (still super creamy).

4. Califia Farms Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk Creamer

There are a ton of pumpkin spiced flavored coffee creamers out there (and well, everything else). My favorite though? The Califia Farms Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk Creamer. First green flag: There’s real pumpkin puree in the ingredients list. It also has an almond milk base that is smooth and creamy, and it has a sweet, festive flavor that I’ll never get tired of.

5. NutPods Pumpkin Pie Creamer

This pumpkin pie creamer is slightly different from my pumpkin spice pick. NutPods Pumpkin Pie Creamer is one of my favorites because of its subtle, pumpkin flavor along with lingering notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and clove. It also has a vanilla, almost shortbread-y flavor that makes it really feel like pie.
