One of my favorite cocktails is the classic Aperol spritz. Despite its summery nature, the refreshing, citrusy, and slightly bitter beverage is perfect to drink all year round. Plus, the lower alcohol content (or low ABV) means I can have a couple without feeling like I need to nap afterwards.
Even with the arrival of fall, I still like to keep an Aperol spritz in my rotation. A recent trip to IKEA got my creative cocktail juices flowing for the new season. I’ve tried other “autumn Aperol spritz” recipes and loved the combination of that bitter citrus with the warmly spiced flavors of some autumn ingredients.
When I saw a bottle of Dryck Bubbel Äpple & Lingon at the center of a well-decorated table in the IKEA showroom, I immediately knew I could turn this sparkling drink into my own delicious fall-inspired cocktail. (I was right!) Since then, I’ve dubbed it the IKEA spritz.

What’s So Great About IKEA Äpple & Lingon Dryck Bubbel?
Dryck Bubbel is a sparkling beverage made with apple and lingonberry (the Scandinavian retailer’s sweetest and most recognizable gem). The taste is reminiscent of a slightly sugary apple cider with a hint of tartness from the lingonberry.
On its own, it’s a delicious alternative to classic sparkling cider and a fun celebratory drink for any occasion. You can even add a splash of club soda or sparkling water to tame the sweetness without compromising the fizz.
What’s the Best Way to Drink IKEA Äpple & Lingon Dryck Bubbel?
As soon as I saw the label, I knew Dryck Bubbel would pair perfectly with Aperol. It has a more sophisticated, yet familiar flavor profile found in fall-forward spritzes. Plus the sweetness of this bubbly drink would balance the bitterness of Aperol.

To ensure this cocktail has an even lower ABV than a regular Aperol spritz, it’s necessary to use Dryck Bubbel instead of Prosecco. To make my IKEA spritz, simply add two ounces of Aperol to a glass with ice, pour as much Dryck Bubbel as you’d like (if you want the same Prosecco ratio, use three ounces), and top with a splash of club soda or sparkling water (I prefer the latter to reduce my sodium intake).

The result is essentially a crisp, apple-forward Aperol spritz, with a more red hue versus the iconic bright orange. If you’re looking to impress some guests, add an apple slice, cinnamon stick, or some homemade cranberry ice cubes to complete the autumn spritz look.
