At this point, it’s no secret that Costco’s bakery section is a can’t-miss part of the store. From delicious pies (both sweet and savory) to massive desserts that can easily feed 20 people, the big-box store has crowd-pleasing winners. And its latest item is no exception.

Shoppers have recently spotted a new bakery find that they can’t get their hands on fast enough: Mini Beignets Filled With Chocolate Hazelnut. The mini beignets are stuffed with chocolate hazelnut spread and coated in a dusting of sugar. Each pack comes with 22, so you can feed your entire family (and then some) for $9.99 — an absolute steal!

There’s just one catch. The bite-size beignets are only available at Costco locations in California — specifically near Los Angeles and the Bay Area. It appears Costco is trialing them before potentially expanding to stores nationwide.

Because I’m based in New York City, I sadly couldn’t try them for myself — but I’m jealous based on the rave reviews I’m seeing. Instagram user @costconewdeals said they “taste like a little bite of heaven,” while another user @photogami gave them a 10/10 for being “pillowy, soft, and chewy” even while cold.

Others on Reddit have also gushed over how “absolutely amazing” they are. Some are even making special trips just to get them, with one person saying, “Until now, I had no reason to go to Costco this week.” Multiple people even said their preferred way to eat them was heated up in the air fryer to replicate that fresh-out-the-fryer texture.

Even employees are excited! “As a Costco bakery employee who’s never seen these, I’m in awe and I seriously hope my region gets these. I’d be soooo happy to package these holy moly.”

However, it seems like these beignets might not totally be new. One Canadian shopper mentioned that they’ve already had these in their store, but as part of a three-pack with raspberry and custard filled ones. Another shopper in Japan also mentioned that their Costco location had the beignets as well, but have since replaced the chocolate hazelnut flavor for passion fruit and caramel. Regardless, I’m in agreement with this person’s sentiment: “Let’s hope they roll these out nationwide sooner rather than later. A box or two of these would make for a more festive holiday season.”
