When Joanna Gaines invites you to Waco, Texas, you go. And I did. I was there earlier this month to hear all about the launch of her new line of frozen baked goods at Target. While I was in town, I also got a chance to take a peek around the Gristmill — the filming location for her cooking show, Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines — and taste-test the frozen baked goods at Magnolia HQ’s test kitchen. (Spoiler: The chocolate chip cookies are a must.)
In between bites of fluffy cinnamon rolls and flaky biscuits, I couldn’t help but notice just how many white Le Creuset braisers were around. I counted five in total: four at the Gristmill and one in the test kitchen, which Gaines used to serve white gravy for her new frozen biscuits.
Here’s what you need to know about this beautiful piece of cookware, and why it might be time to invest in one for your kitchen, too.

What You Should Know About Le Creuset’s Signature Braiser
This enameled cast iron braiser comes in a ton of colors (27, to be exact, although four are currently sold out). If you want one that matches Joanna Gaines’ aesthetic, though, grab the white one. It looks stylish and timeless, and works well in any kitchen because it’s a neutral tone.
You can choose from two sizes: 3.5 quarts (serving up to four people, according to Le Creuset) or 5 quarts (serving up to six). The smaller braiser goes for $380, while the larger costs $430. Both are super versatile, oven-safe (up to 500°F), and dishwasher-friendly.
What Le Creuset Shoppers Are Saying
Average Rating: 4.4/5
“I love the braiser, which I originally purchased to replace my 35-year-old one, not Le Creuset. I use it for meat dishes with sauces. Since purchasing this pan, I’ve also found that it works great as a casserole and sauté pan. I love how food cooks in this pan and how it goes from stovetop to oven to table. ” —Godie
“I’ve cooked so many different dishes in it, and each time the food comes out delicious with practically no sticking and easy cleaning.” —Pam M.
“I can prepare a one-dish meal in it, bring it to the table, and it makes my food look so appealing. This is the favorite of all my Le Creuset pieces, next to my square pan.” —Nanny Snow
