As much as I’d love to travel to Thailand, I’ve never actually been there (yet, that is!). But that doesn’t mean I can’t bring a tropical vibe to my next dinner party. With rich flavors, stunning decor, and a beachy ambience, you can create a little mini vacation in the comfort of your own home, wherever that may be.

In addition to these incredible Thai-inspired recipes pulled together by The Kitchn editors, I wanted help picking out some decor that would evoke Thailand’s gorgeous coastline in my apartment. I asked pro stylist and decorator Vicky Wasik, Apartment Therapy Media’s studio director, for her favorite picks to set the perfect mood.

“Calm, tropical, and inviting tones can transport you right to Thailand,” she says. “Rattan coasters, napkin rings, and place mats feel beachy and casual, and go well with a vibrant turquoise platter and deep blue linens.” Here are the five items she snagged for less than $90 that I can’t wait to use year-round.
