Whether you’re an olive oil aficionado or not, you’ve likely heard of Graza — the olive oil that had instant success after going viral on the internet for its signature green squeeze bottle adorned with cute illustrations. I’ve tried Graza olive oil myself, and I was very impressed with its bold, punchy flavor — and I’m not the only one.

Graza’s beloved Sizzle and Drizzle olive oils have only been available in plastic squeeze bottles — until now. The company just announced that its signature olive oils are now available in glass bottles! The glass bottles are available for purchase on Graza’s website and are hitting shelves at Whole Foods and Kroger nationwide on August 7. The Sizzle costs $19.99, the Drizzle costs $22.99, and a bundle of the two is exclusively on Graza’s website for $42.98.

So why now? Graza has heard the backlash, and the decision has been years in the making. “Since Graza first came to market with the OG squeeze bottle, there has been clear feedback from some people who simply need their extra virgin olive oil in glass to believe it’s the real deal,” a rep from Graza stated. “We want Graza to reach as many people as we can, because we’re that confident in the quality of our olive oil, so it was important for us to meet consumers where they are by offering an alternative form factor in their preferred packaging.”

The glass bottles are completely opaque and painted with a 100% UV-blocking coating that protects the oil from light exposure, thus preserving freshness and taste. They also have a built-in spout for pouring, which can easily be popped out once you’re finished with the bottle to make it fully recyclable and refillable.

Plus, it still has that Graza charm and design that consumers have grown to love. “No existing glass bottle options captured Graza’s identity, so they had to take extra time to cast our own molds,” said the Graza rep. While the packaging itself is different, inside is the same high-quality, single-origin Picual olive oil sourced from Jaen, Spain.

For those who love the OG squeeze bottles, don’t worry — they aren’t going anywhere. “This launch is not about replacing anything, but rather expanding. We’re not married to one vessel; we’re only married to the quality of what’s inside. So if there’s another format down the line that helps new people enjoy Graza’s delicious olive oil, we’re always open to exploring. Glass is just the next step in making Graza work for more people.”
