One of the greatest things about being friends with your neighbor is the convenience of popping by and borrowing a cup of sugar or a few eggs when you run out — or, if you’re lucky enough, a splurgey ice cream machine.

I’ve been “borrowing” my neighbor’s Ninja Creami Deluxe for a few months, and it’s now one of my favorite appliances of all time. And it’s especially perfect for the summer! It’s no wonder it’s going totally viral on social media.

I love using TikTok for style inspo, recipes, and celeb gossip — so when my neighbor offered to let me try out his Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 11-in-1 Ice Cream Maker, I told him I had already seen it all over my “For You Page.” And before I knew it, my algorithm filled my feed with Ninja-friendly ice cream recipes!

What’s So Great About the Ninja Creami Deluxe?

With the Ninja Creami Deluxe, I’ve mastered coffee and Heath bar ice cream (my all-time favorite flavor), experimented with mango sherbert, and failed at “unique” matcha combinations — but most importantly, I found a fun and easy way to get creative with my cooking (and staying cool!) in the summer.

I especially like using the machine because it’s so easy and user-friendly. The most difficult part of using it is deciding on a recipe (and experimenting with it so it fits your tastes), but other than that, you really just have to mix everything together, freeze it overnight, and let the machine do the rest. It’ll tell you exactly how long your ice cream will take, and you can also add mix-ins or re-spin it if you want a better stir.

Ninja makes different variations of the ice cream machine that range in price and capability. The Deluxe can make classic (and lite) ice cream as well as gelato, sorbet, frozen yogurt, “creamiccinos,” “slushis,” frozen drinks, milkshakes, and even Italian ice — all with the click of a button. Ninja also has other versions that are capable of making soft-serve and milkshakes.

I also like that with the Deluxe, you have the flexibility to determine exactly what goes into your pint of ice cream. I don’t know if I should admit this to the internet, but I crave a sweet treat at all times — like, candy-after-breakfast types of cravings. They’re hard to resist sometimes, especially when it’s hot and a sweet treat really doubles as an easy way to cool off! But when I make my own ice cream, I can adjust levels of sweetness, protein, and dairy, depending on what I’m in the mood for that day (which gives me a little bit of peace of mind). Plus, the included cups hold up to three pints each, so I can store anything I don’t eat.

The appliance is also surprisingly easy to clean, because all of the mixing components come apart so all you have to do is wipe it down and throw the washable parts in the dishwasher. For just $279.99 (or $249.99 at Kohl’s!), after a summer of tasty treats, as much as I’m hoping my neighbor doesn’t ask for his Ninja back, I’m officially ready to make the splurge for myself — and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. If you love ice cream as much as I do (year-round!), the Ninja Creami Deluxe is a great appliance to add to your kitchen arsenal.
