What Is IKEA’s KÖSSEBÄR Food Storage Collection?

This latest release from IKEA features food preparation, storage, and organization finds that are all limited-edition. Here’s what makes up the collection.

KÖSSEBÄR Jars with Lids

What can’t you do with a nice glass jar? I love these gorgeous KÖSSEBÄR jars that are sealed but also solid glass. You can store nuts, seeds, tea, coffee, and spices in the thicker, shorter jar. Preserve jams and jellies in it, bring a smoothie to work with you, pop your sourdough starter in there — the list goes on. Plus, the airtight lid comes attached to the jar, so you won’t need to waste time hunting around your kitchen for the lid you swear you saw this morning.

If you like making your own salad dressings and sauces, the taller, thinner version of this glass jar is the perfect shape and style for a nice vinaigrette or creamy homemade ranch. If that’s not your style, use the tall, slender jar for whatever you desire — even if it’s just storing store-bought lemonade. The jars start at $4.99, which is a true steal.

KÖSSEBÄR Jar with Spoon

Cooking can feel chaotic at times, but your kitchen shouldn’t always stress you out. This chocolate brown jar that comes with a lid and a matching spoon (with a built-in spoon holder) is the perfect storage solution for kosher salt, sugar, honey, or any spice that you might want to keep displayed on your countertop for maximum cuteness. The stoneware jar is rustic and will make even a simple breakfast of jam on toast feel special. Plus, the jar is only $9.99.

KÖSSEBÄR Resealable Bags, 80 pack

While I’m trying to move away from plastic food storage generally, sometimes you really do just need to use resealable plastic storage bags. But the standard plastic storage bags look awfully boring compared to these cute, retro-patterned storage bags. They have a slider at the top to seal and reseal and come in a range of sizes and natural colors. They’ll come in handy over and over again, whether you’re storing a small snack or a bunch of cut veggies. Eighty storage bags cost $12.99.

Other Cute KÖSSEBÄR Finds

IKEA is also dropping an adorable set of dish towels (great for wiping up messes) for just $5.99 for a set of two. And if you’re in the market for a new apron, IKEA’s $9.99 gingham print offering comes in a neutral shade and has the perfect vintage vibe.
