There are some paint colors out there that are just iconic, and when you ask some of the top designers, many of them will say that the company with the most iconic hues is undoubtedly Farrow & Ball. The British-based company boasts soul-stirring paint names like “Green Smoke” and “Borrowed Light,” and it’s no stranger to celebrity homes either. That’s why I wasn’t all that shocked recently when I learned that culinary and homemaking extraordinaire Ina Garten is a Farrow & Ball convert.
On the “Ask Ina” page recently, in which superfans can send along their own inquiries for the Barefoot Contessa, Katie Binzer from Cincinnati posed this question: “I have always loved your decor and style and was hoping to confirm if you have ever used Farrow & Ball’s ‘Light Gray’? I’m remodeling my kitchen and family room and love the warmth of your space.”
Ina answered, “Yes! The walls of the barn are actually Light Gray. I think it’s a beautiful, rich neutral that goes with anything.” Rumor confirmed!
