Frankly, I loved these noodles as they were, so I was surprised to hear they recently got a little makeover — and the glow-up goes way beyond packaging. The beloved noodles now have a slightly chewier texture and even more sauce than before. If that wasn’t enough to get fans excited, Momofuku also dropped a brand-new flavor.
I got a chance to try it recently, and I can already tell it’s going to be a pantry staple for me this fall.

What You Should Know About Momofuku’s Sesame Miso Noodles
Like all of Momofuku’s noodles, the new Sesame Miso noodles contain six ingredients and are air-dried. Each packet also comes with a savory miso sesame sauce packet, and a separate packet of sesame seeds for garnishing. The flavor isn’t spicy, and is even given “0/5” peppers on the packaging. (Spice-level ratings are a new feature of revamped packaging.)
The noodles are quick to cook; they take just 4 minutes in four cups of boiling water. After that, you simply mix the sauce and sesame seed packs in with the drained noodles, and enjoy.
Sold in packs of four, 12, or 24 starting at just $12, the noodles are quickly becoming a shopper-favorite, racking up an overall 4.9-star rating on Momofuku’s site. Reviewers have posted the “flavor is fantastic,” it’s “so comforting and homey,” and “I can’t wait to eat them again.”

My Honest Review of Momofuku’s Sesame Miso Noodles
The sauce is a little thicker than others I’ve tried from the brand, and it coats the noodles nicely. That nutty, toasty sesame flavor is what hit my palate first with a little depth and added savoriness from the miso. Plus, the crunch from the sesame seeds nicely balanced the delicious chewiness of the noodles. I absolutely can’t get enough of the new texture of these noodles, too. They’re on par with my favorite chewy, hand-pulled noodles.
With 12 grams of protein (or 10% of the daily value) in one pack alone, these noodles are a delicious meal on their own or a nice starting point; add a runny fried egg, stir-fried shrimp, ground pork, tofu, and a range of crisp veggies, or drizzle with some sriracha sauce or chili crisp if you want to add a little heat.
