Almond Flour Pizza Crust

As a kid, I had not one, but two, birthday parties at Pizzeria Uno. (If that’s not enough, so did my sisters, so it’s safe to say our family loves this chain.) If you’re unfamiliar with Pizzeria Uno, the restaurant originated in Chicago and is known as the birthplace of deep dish pizza, invented by original owner Ike Sewell in 1943.

Chicago-style pizza is characterized by its buttery, pie-like crust and plentiful toppings, all covered in a layer of rich, tomato sauce. (New York-style pizza fans, look away. The thick, flaky, buttery crust is my favorite part.) The restaurant has since expanded and become a chain, with over 70 locations nationwide. If you’re lucky enough to live near one, you know how good their pizza is.

But if you don’t live near a Pizzeria Uno and have been longing to get a taste of its OG Chicago-style  deep dish pie, you can now enjoy it right in the comfort of your own home.

Pizzeria Uno is now available at Costco. The big-box store is selling its Triple Pepperoni deep dish pizza, perfect for those nights when you can’t be bothered to cook. In classic Costco style, the box comes with two 30.8-ounce massive pies for just $14.69. Find it in the freezer section of the store, along with some of our other favorite frozen Costco finds.

The triple pepperoni flavor has that signature pie-like crust with three types of pepperoni, three types of cheese (mozzarella, Parmesan, and romano to be exact), blanketed under a layer of tomato sauce. All you have to do is pop it in a 375°F oven for 45 to 50 minutes if cooking from frozen, or 35 to 40 minutes if cooking from refrigerated. Now you can get a taste of the Windy City — no flight required.
