If there’s one thing Oreo is determined not to be, it’s boring. While the classic Oreo cookies are a tried-and-true favorite that spans generations, the brand never stops experimenting with new flavor combinations. And that’s exactly how Oreo fans like it.
Not too long ago, Oreo brought back its beloved Blueberry Pie Oreo for the first time in eight years, and fans were racing to grocery stores across the country to stock up. Now, Oreo is back at it again with a brand-new, equally intriguing flavor that blends two desserts into one tasty-sounding cookie: Apple Pie a La Mode Oreos.
The @candyhunting Instagram account was among the first to break the news that the new Oreo flavor would be arriving on grocery store shelves on August 11. The apple pie and ice cream-flavored cookies feature an apple pie and vanilla-flavored creme filling sandwiched between two golden cookies.
Some have compared them to Oreo’s previous iteration of apple pie cookies, but this new variety has the added an “a la mode” element, bringing vanilla flavor into the mix for a snack that is entirely its own.
Oreo fans immediately rushed to the comments to share their excitement about the forthcoming flavor. “That looks and sounds delicious 😋,” said one commenter on Instagram. “Looking forward to them,” wrote another. “Dreams do come true,” said a third. “Dear god. Please let me find these when they release 🙏🏻,” prayed another fan.
There’s no telling exactly how long the limited-edition flavor will be in stores, but if you want to give them a try you’ll want to have your shopping carts ready as soon as August 11 rolls around. Popular flavors tend to sell out fast, leaving fans to hope that enough demand will convince Oreo to restock or add them to the permanent Oreo lineup.
