When I’m making a pasta bake (such as lasagna or baked ziti), one thing that always has to go alongside it is garlic bread. It’s the perfect vessel for sopping up any leftover sauce.
The big-box store recently brought back a fan-favorite item to its bakery section: Roasted Garlic Butter Baguette with Parmesan Cheese. It was spotted by content creator @costcohotfinds, and people are already singing its praises with comments like “So much garlic!” and “Best garlic bread ever!!”
What makes it so good? Whole pieces of garlic cloves (you can literally see!) cover the entire length of the bread, as well as a generous shmear of butter and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. All you need to do is remove the bread from the package, place it open-faced on a sheet pan, and bake it in a 375°F oven for about 15 minutes or until golden-brown. Of course, it wouldn’t be Costco if it wasn’t a deal (or massive), so the garlic bread comes packaged with two baguettes for $8.99.
The garlic bread seems to be an item that Costco had years ago; multiple people commented on the video that they remember when the store sold them a while back. One person wrote, “OMG I REMEMBER THIS!! I was little and was FURIOUS when they disappeared.” People are just as excited as ever, and can’t wait to get their hands on some. One shopper wrote, “Oh my gosh running to Costco,” while another said, “Roasted garlic is my FAVORITE.” Another content creator on Instagram reviewed it, saying, “One bite and you can’t stop eating it. So crunchy, garlicky, and delicious.”
While we personally haven’t tried it yet, if it’s anything like the Kirkland Signature Garlic Parmesan Butter Rolls that Mara, our director of groceries & shopping, raved over, you’re in for a treat. While pairing the garlic bread with pasta is the obvious choice, we’re also thinking it might be a worthy Thanksgiving dinner addition.
