Swift, despite being arguably one of the busiest women in the world, loves not only to cook, bake, and entertain, but to give the gift of freshly baked goods. The latest recipient of her culinary confections? None other than her very best bestie, Selena Gomez.
On July 22, Gomez celebrated her 33rd birthday with her fiancé, songwriter and record producer Benny Blanco. Amidst the celebrations, Blanco shared a photo of a particularly special gift to his Instagram story, a basket filled with an assortment of goodies from Swift, including a loaf of homemade sourdough bread.
Swift decorated the package with adorable stickers with handwritten notes that read, “Hand Made Sourdough,” “For Selena + Benny,” “It’s a loaf story,” (It’s a play on her hit song “Love Story”) and last but most definitely not least, “Love, Taylor.” She also included an Encens 9 Le Labo candle and a few other thoughtful items.
Swift and Gomez’s friendship is one of the most beloved in all of pop culture and pop music. Gomez even included a photo of the duo in a post she shared to Instagram a few days before her birthday, though it’s just one of likely hundreds of photos they’ve taken together throughout their 17-year-long friendship.
Sourdough bread is just the latest chapter in Swift’s baking adventures. In the spring, she baked homemade Pop-Tarts for the crew working on a photo shoot for her boyfriend, legendary football player Travis Kelce. She even included a sweet note that read, “Have a great shoot!!”
While there are bound to be dozens of reasons to feel lucky to be in Swift’s innermost circle, having the chance to try her homemade treats might be one of the biggest.
