Gorgeous, high-quality, and wonderfully unfussy — that’s a combo hard to find in any one product, but one that Gneiss Spice has absolutely nailed. These perfect glass spice jars have been a favorite of mine for nearly a decade — and possibly the only product that’s had this long of a streak in my kitchen.

I first snagged these spice organizers for the same reason I first notice anything I add to my cart: They’re so pretty! For such a simple concept — magnetic, glass spice jars — they’re truly eye-catching. The hexagon shape paired with the color of the spices popping from each glass jar gives them showstopper status. And I love that you can arrange them in different shapes to create food art on your fridge. Any chance I have to put food on display, I take it, and this is my absolute favorite way to do it. Talk about functional decor!

Why I’ve Been Using Gneiss Spice Magnetic Jars for over 10 Years

First off, they’re super heavy-duty. I’ve dropped them on the kitchen floor many times, and they’re still going strong. Speaking of strong, the magnets they use are no joke — they’re set inside the lid and keep the jars in place with everyday use of the fridge. Even an accidental slam of the fridge door can’t take them down. And yes, they’re still very easy to pull off the fridge (it’s possible they are, in fact, magical spice jars). The lids also secure tightly without being difficult to take on and off; just one quick twist does the job.

The cherry on top? Keeping spices on the fridge means they’re never taken up precious drawer or pantry space, keeping those spots free for everything else. And even when I did have space to put them elsewhere (I’ve lived in three different apartments with these little fellas), I simply always find it easier to have them on the fridge — I can see at a glance what I have and what I’m low on, and it’s quick to grab them while cooking. And again, they’re stunning!

Since I purchased my original batch, Gneiss Spice has expanded its product lineup, making it easy to get exactly what you need. This is the 24-pack of small magnetic jars I have, but they now come in a larger size as well, or paired with a magnetic wall plate if you’d rather store them elsewhere in your space. (You can see how I stored them on my own magnetic wall plate in a past apartment above!)

Gneiss Spice Magnetic Jars – Set of 24 at Amazon

Starting at $70 for a set of 12 small jars — that’s less than $6 per jar — the more you get, the less each one costs (the set of 24 is less than $5 each!). And believe me when I say they’ll last you. Plus, each set comes with 72 to 216 clear preprinted labels to put on the bottom or side of each jar.

If you’re feeling even more hands-off, you can also get them prefilled with spices — these kits come in everything from grill rubs to fusion salts to popcorn toppings and even kits specifically for Indian, Mexican, or Moroccan cooking.
