I love cooking, but on busy weeknights I don’t always have the time and energy to make a full meal. That’s when I look to my freezer for quick dinner help. The frozen food aisle at the grocery store may be a treasure trove, but actually my new favorite frozen food doesn’t require leaving my house at all. Instead, I’ve been ordering Heartland Fresh’s Chicken Fried Chicken Nuggets from QVC (yep, the same one you might watch on TV). And honestly? I may never buy chicken nuggets from the grocery store again — they’re THAT good!

What’s So Great About Heartland Fresh’s Chicken Fried Chicken Nuggets?

These chicken nuggets arrive frozen in a three-pound bag (mine had roughly 40 nuggets in it). They’re already cooked, so all I have to do is pop them in my air fryer or oven to crisp up, and voila! Dinner is ready.

I usually air fry mine, which takes between 10 and 12 minutes to heat through. If I opted for the oven, they would take more like 20 minutes. Either way, they take next to no effort to cook, apart from needing to be flipped every four or 10 minutes, respectively.

These chicken nuggets are a little splurgy at $65 for a three-pound bag, but they are easily the best frozen chicken nuggets I’ve ever had (more on that below!). Between their quality, flavor, and the fact that they’ve become a weeknight essential for me, I think they’re well worth it.

My Honest Review of Heartland Fresh’s Chicken Fried Chicken Nuggets

Chicken nuggets are a go-to comfort food for me. Whether I’m getting them at a fast food joint, the grocery store, or QVC, I’m always excited to eat them. But Heartland Fresh’s Chicken Fried Chicken Nuggets? They’re hands-down the best I’ve had at home.

For starters, the nuggets are some of the most tender I’ve ever had. They’re made with rib meat and are so juicy and succulent. I’m impressed every time I make them by how good the meat itself is. I have found that the meat in other nuggets can be dry or chewy, but not here!

We can’t forget about the breading, though. It gets perfectly golden and crisp every time. Plus, it has flecks of black pepper to make it feel a little more elevated than the usual dino-shaped nugget. They’re so good, I’m honestly happy to just eat them plain — no ketchup necessary.

Beyond how absolutely delicious they are and how quick and easy they are to heat, I also love how many nuggets come in the bag. I’ve had mine for a couple of weeks, and my fiancé and I still have more than half the bag left. And while I can confirm that a cup of instant mac and cheese and a salad is the perfect pairing, I’m excited to experiment with the remaining nuggets. Homemade KFC Famous Bowl, here I come!
