A set of Mason jars is truly one of the best things I’ve ever stocked in my kitchen. Mason jars can store leftovers, hold freshly ground coffee, and even act as drinking glasses. And with all the cool accessories you can get for them, they can transform into so much more — like a manual coffee grinder, pretty pitcher, and versatile grater.
Recently I found an accessory that can turn a Mason jar into an oil cruet, and I immediately ordered it. Now some of my fancy flavored olive oil can be poured easily (and without making a mess!) onto roasted salmon, potatoes, broccoli, and so much more! Plus, it only cost me $15.

What’s So Great About Jarware’s Stainless Steel Oil Cruet Lid?
The lid is made from stainless steel with a silicone stopper and fits perfectly on my 24-ounce wide-mouth Mason jar. All I had to do was place the lid on top of the jar and screw on the metal band that originally came with my Mason jar. It’s super easy to use, and now I can pour my favorite olive oils, syrups, and so much more using my Mason jar.

My Honest Review of Jarware’s Stainless Steel Oil Cruet Lid
After easily attaching the oil cruet lid to my Mason jar, it was ready to use. I decided to fill my jar with chili oil (its original bottle didn’t have a pour spout). Because most of my olive oils come in squeezy bottles, I like that I can use this for some of my flavored olive oils that don’t come in easy-pour bottles. I also enjoy making homemade syrups for coffee, and when I finish off my chili oil, I think this would be amazing for that as well.
The spout on this lid is slightly big for my preference, so the oil can come out quickly if I’m not being mindful. Usually, I just slowly tilt the jar so the oil doesn’t come out too fast, or I cover the spout slightly with my finger.
This oil cruet lid is such an easy and affordable addition to my Mason jars. Plus, it’s helping me use up some oils that otherwise might just sit in my pantry collecting dust. Now I’m thinking I might actually want a second one for my homemade coffee syrups!
