I’m not quite sure how it happened, but I’ve become a butter dish collector. It all started with this dish topped with a vintage-inspired doorknob. Since then I’ve expanded my growing collection to cover almost every season.
What You Should Know About Uncommon Goods’ Woodland Creatures Butter Dish
I like to pop over to Uncommon Goods when I’m looking for cute serveware, gadgets, and snacks (or food-centric Advent calendars this time of year!), and that’s where I found this ceramic Woodland Creatures Butter Dish. It has an orange-rimmed base and a cream-colored lid that features hand-drawn-looking illustrations of mushrooms, foxes, snails, and hedgehogs with floating leaves to really play up the fall feels. Even the handle is molded to look like a little acorn.
The dish is big enough to store a standard eight-tablespoon stick of butter, and, according to one online reviewer, “it’s wide enough to hold two.” It can also fit wider blocks of European-style butter like Kerrygold.
Finished what’s inside? The lid and base are both dishwasher-safe, so it’s easier to clean than some other more delicate dishes. Plus, it’s only $20 at Uncommon Goods right now. So you can pick one up for your own table, or snag one for a holiday gift — or both. ’Tis the season, right?
