I come from a family that’s very serious about food. I’ve got both chefs and restaurant owners in the mix, and even family members that don’t work in food have plenty of knowledge and expertise on the subject. So much so that our group chat exists mainly to share meals and new favorite groceries.

My brother, Maxx, is a huge fast-food fan and is always seeking out grocery store dupes for his favorite burgers, chicken nuggets, and his all-time favorite order, a spicy chicken sandwich.

What’s So Great About the Aldi Kirkwood Spicy Chicken Patties?

Priced at just $5.49 for a pack of four in most stores (though prices may vary slightly online), the Aldi Kirkwood Spicy Chicken Patties are a much cheaper alternative to grabbing a spicy chicken sandwich from your favorite drive-through. Beyond the attractive price, they’re made with a juicy, tender chicken patty and a crispy-spicy breadcrumb coating.

These patties are easy to prepare — just heat them up in the oven or microwave. I prefer them in the oven at 425°F for around 8 minutes to get that satisfying crunch. The mild kick of heat is really great, too; it’s spicy enough to be interesting, but not so hot that you’ll be reaching for a glass of milk.
