If you ask me, there’s no better way to cool down in the summertime than with a scoop of ice cream. While I’m not beholden to any brand, I’ve heard lots of buzz about Jeni’s ice cream. Still, I’d never tried it until recently (I’m just as shocked as you).
Known for its unique flavors (like Everything Bagel and Biscuits with the Boss, inspired by hit show Ted Lasso), Jeni’s ice cream is beloved for a reason. After trying the Brambleberry Crisp, I’ve been converted and can easily see why it’s a best-seller — and I typically don’t go for fruity flavors.
One flavor instantly caught my eye, and it will be living rent-free in my freezer all summer long.

What You Should Know About Jeni’s Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bar
Keeping in line with its premium ice cream pints, Jeni’s didn’t cut any corners for its new ice cream bars. The R&D team spent over a year getting the recipe just right so the ice cream held up on the stick, melted slowly, and retained the brand’s signature buttercream-like texture. Made with a higher butterfat content and lower air content than most other bars on the market (under 50%, as opposed to over 60% air), Jeni’s bars are dense, creamy, and packed with flavor.
Jeni’s Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bar was created as a nod to the nostalgic Push-Up. To give it its tropical flair, Jeni’s mixes passion fruit juice and key lime purée into its ice cream base and swirls the two for a tart-yet-creamy bar.
The ice cream bars started slowly rolling out in February, and have been widely available at retailers nationwide since May, including Whole Foods, Central Market, and Harris Teeter. Each box comes with three individually wrapped bars and retails for $8.99. The best part: They’re a permanent addition to Jeni’s lineup.

My Honest Review of Jeni’s Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bar
When I was a kid, an orange Creamsicle was my ice cream truck dessert of choice after a long day of playing in the park. When it comes to adult beverages, on the other hand, passion fruit margaritas are my go-to. Needless to say, Jeni’s newest bar had my name written all over it — and it was everything I wanted and more.
For starters, it’s beautiful to look at with the passion fruit and key lime ice cream coming together in a stunning swirl. But the taste is equally as impressive. One bite in and I was transported to a tropical island.

The passion fruit flavor is prominent and fresh (nothing artificial here) with juicy, citrusy, tangy notes. Paired with the key lime ice cream swirls, it has the same lovely balance of tartness and sweetness you’d find in a key lime pie. Plus, it’s super creamy and didn’t melt quickly or drip down my hand as I ate it. I got to savor each and every bite.
