I recently moved into a new apartment, and one of the first things I realized was that I didn’t have any way to make ice for my morning lattes. Knowing that Amazon’s Prime Day sale is happening July 8-11, I decided to wait it out and grab a nugget ice maker when it’s discounted. The one I’m grabbing?

Silonn’s Countertop Nugget Ice Maker, which is currently 30% off. So now, I’ll be able to make my favorite chewable ice (like the kind you get at Sonic!) while only spending $160 instead of the full $230. Consider my iced lattes upgraded.

What You Should Know About the Silonn Countertop Nugget Ice Maker

It’s a particularly good model if you, like me, are a tiny bit impatient because it can have the first nuggets ready to go in six minutes (or less, according to one reviewer). So, I can brew my coffee and start breakfast and then grab my ice. Plus, it can ultimately pop out as much as 33 pounds in just one day, so it’s perfect for entertaining (bye-bye, gas station ice runs!).

My new apartment has a little more space, but I still have to be judicious with what I keep on my kitchen counters. This appliance makes the cut because it’s pretty close in size to my Keurig, and they’ll fit nicely next to each other. I can’t wait to see my iced coffee station come together.

What Amazon Shoppers Are Saying

Average Rating: 4.2/5

“This is the best little ice maker. Perfect for our small family of three. It makes the ice super quickly and keeps it for a long time. We have been making ice nonstop and haven’t had any issues.” —Tim Gruich

“I am pleasantly surprised! It is not loud at all. The first batch of ice actually completed in less than six minutes. It is truly the nugget, crunchy ice that most of us love.” —Tabitha

“It’s so much easier than dealing with ice trays and cheaper than always buying ice. If my wife and I want to have drinks in the evening, we just fill [the nugget ice maker] and turn it on at maybe 4:45; there’s already plenty of ice when we clock out of work at 5 p.m.” — Ian L.
