The shopping list of a novice Trader Joe’s customer is typically filled with all of their favorite grocery and kitchen items. But a seasoned Trader Joe’s shopper knows that there are so many other ways to make the most of a trip to their favorite grocery store, like stocking up on flowers and small potted plants.

Trader Joe’s is famous for its wide assortment of adorable potted succulents and plants, and the planters they come in are even cuter. Earlier this summer the beloved grocery store dropped the most charming little ferns in fruit-shaped pots, and now there’s another new plant friend to add to your growing at-home garden.

For a limited time only, Trader Joe’s has brought back the store’s fan-favorite hanging succulents. Priced at just $8.99, these succulents are a steal, and hardcore Trader Joe’s fans look forward to buying them year after year. Some people have even kept them alive for several years, but can’t help adding another one to their home decor.

Every location may have a different assortment of plants available, but some of the varieties that have been spotted to date include String of Fishhooks and other types of trailing succulents. Last year, Trader Joe’s shoppers picked up String of Hearts, String of Raindrops, Coral Cactus, Mistletoe Cactus, and Zig Zag Cactus. Each one comes in a 6-inch plastic pot, which you place into another ceramic or macrame hanging planter.

While home improvement stores, like Lowe’s and Home Depot, might be the first places that come to mind when you’re shopping for plants, don’t underestimate Trader Joe’s. The store’s inventory of plants is replenished just as frequently as its grocery items, and they change seasonally, so there’s always something new and fresh waiting for you as you walk in the front door.
