I have very strict standards when it comes to my coffee: It needs to be hot and flavorful. However, I’ve never found a coffee maker I truly loved. (In one old apartment, my coffee maker even became a magnet for roaches — gross.) Seeking a solution, I went to my 86-year-old grandmother. She shared her secret to a great, long-lasting cup of coffee: the Farberware Yosemite Coffee Percolator.

Eight years later, I’m still using the Farberware Percolator and haven’t looked back. This stainless steel percolator with its timeless style delivers exactly what I want: deliciously brewed, boiling hot coffee. Best of all, it’s on sale right now, down from $44.99 to $34.99. Trust my grandma — it’s worth it!

What’s So Great About the Farberware Yosemite Coffee Percolator?

Using the Farberware Coffee Percolator gives me a nostalgic, old-timey feel and features a wonderfully simple design: add water to the base, add grounds to the basket (no filters needed!), and turn on the burner. The water heats up, boils, and starts brewing. You’ll know it’s ready when the coffee begins to appear in the glass top. Just a note: If you overfill the base, some water may come out of the spout, which is your cue to lower the heat. The coffee is ready in minutes.

You can choose between an 8- or 12-cup option; I have the 12-cup, and the size is perfect for my husband and me to enjoy several cups throughout the day. Cleaning is easy, as the stainless steel is simple to maintain, and everything except the knob and pump tube spring is dishwasher-safe. Since I have to clean it daily, I appreciate the simplicity of the process. I should mention that I’ve had to replace the glass top twice over the years. However, considering I drop it, wash it daily, and air-dry it in a dish rack, it truly withstands a massive amount of use.
