
Teriyaki Chicken Burgers

Teriyaki-style chicken burgers featuring pineapple and chili crisp mayo!
ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained of excess liquid
- 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (see below)
- 1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (ensure gluten-free for gluten-free)
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs (ensure gluten-free for gluten-free)
- 4 slices of pineapple (grilled if desired)
- 4 buns (ensure gluten-free for gluten-free)
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (ensure gluten-free for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon chili crisp/crunch
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- Combine ground chicken, crushed pineapple, teriyaki sauce, garlic, ginger, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, and breadcrumbs to form 4 patties.
- Grill (or pan-fry or broil) the patties on medium-high heat until fully cooked (165F), approximately 3-5 minutes per side, while basting with remaining teriyaki sauce. (Grill pineapple concurrently if desired.)
- Assemble the burgers with buns, chili crisp mayo, lettuce, pineapple, and cooked chicken teriyaki patties!
- In a small saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil over medium heat, then lower the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens, around 3-5 minutes, and allow to cool.
- Combine chili crisp and mayonnaise!
